Project summaryThe project envisages the reduction of energy consumption at PJSC “AISW” produced at electricity grid on the basis of fossil fuel due to the implementation of the modern energy saving equipment on CCGT basis. Technical aspects of the projectThe project includes CCGT building with fixed capacity of 200 MW. The project of CCGT building for blast furnace #2 at PJSC “AISW” includes gas turbine, generator, reducer, inlet and outlet запірні or emergency valves, and also the system of blast furnace gas treatment. The electricity, produced at CCGT, is planned to be used for own needs of steel mill. Project efficiencyThe implementation of CCGT at PJSC “AISW” will lead to the reversion of some energy portion, wasted for compressed air production at blast furnaces in the way of using surplus pressure of blast furnace gases for energy production. It’ll increase the efficiency of primordial energy usage, and also will save money, wasted for blast furnace blowing production. The project aims to reduce expenses for compressed air production at OJSC “AISW” or for electricity purchasing. The CCGT implementation at blast furnace #2 at PJSC “AISW” will lead to non-fuel compressed air production in the volume of 123,2 mio.kW-g/year. The average efficiency for the facility of energy production is equal to 80%. The main techno-economic indexes of TPRT
Project socio-economic consequencesThe project implementation will have the raw of socio-economic consequences for the mill and region, such as:
Similar projects have been initiated at PJSC “Dneprovsky Integrated Iron and Steel Works named after Dzershinsky”, PJSC “Yenakievo Iron and Steel Works”, PJSC “Azovstal Iron and Steel Works”.
